Brianne Jerrels joined the Greene County Economic Development Corporation (GCEDC) in January 2008 as Administrative Assistant and was quickly promoted to Office Manager. As such, she handled multiple aspects of the organization operations, fundraising, special events and marketing.
Brianne, a life-long resident of Greene County, graduated from Oklahoma University’s Economic Development Institute in 2011 with special focus on Community Development and Strategic Planning. Upon her graduation, she was promoted to Community Development Specialist. While in this capacity, she worked with community action groups and stakeholders by providing strategic planning and team building services, counseling, resource information and grant application support.
In December 2014, Brianne was promoted to Executive Director. She is excited to work with our local cities and towns as well as civic organizations and chambers of commerce to help promote Greene County and make it the best it can be. As she will continue to focus on community development activities, her main objectives are job creation, workforce development and business attraction and retention programs.
Brianne and her husband, Tom, currently live in Linton with their three children: Gillyan, Abram and Jed.

Halea Franklin joined the GCEDC staff in February 2015 as Administrative Assistant and Marketing Coordinator.
In January 2016, Halea graduated from Ball State University's Indiana Economic Development Course. Since joining the staff at Greene County Economic Development, she has taken the lead as county coordinator for the Greene County Indiana Bicentennial Planning Committee (Greene ‘16). She has also maintained the organization’s website and social media pages. Halea also utilizes her strong office management skills to maintain QuickBooks, payroll, accounts payable and various other administrative duties. Because of her previous professional roles, she has maintained many working relationships that have proven to be beneficial to the organization.
A life-long Greene County resident, she grew up in Jasonville and graduated from Shakamak High School. She attended Indiana State University where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in journalism.
She and her husband, Wes, live in Linton and have four children: Brooklyn, Wrigley, Brynley and Tyler.
